About the teacher

Hello! My name is Irene Lim and I am a K-12 certified art teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience at a public elementary school. After receiving a BFA in Industrial Design I pursued my true passion of Art Education and received my MAT at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. 

One of my greatest joys as a teacher is seeing a child’s face light up with pride after they’ve created something using their own two hands. I truly believe that supporting a child in their creative journey can have a lasting impact on their self-confidence as adults and the social impact they will have in their futures, no matter their career. 

After motherhood I made the transition to teaching private art classes which has led me to the creation of Little Pearl Art Studio. Currently classes are designed for ages 4-8, but my hope is to keep growing and offer more classes in the future. Thanks for visiting Little Pearl Art Studio!
